01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
About this place
The moment the meal tray arrives at the table, the generous mound of freshly fried tempura immediately catches the eye. Situated along Shibamata Kaido, Nasubi is known for its lineup of daily set meals written up on the blackboard. Seasonal vegetables such as eggplant, pumpkin, and sweet potato emerge crisp and light from the oil, making it easy to keep reaching for another bite.
The appeal of the tray does not end with the tempura. The Take set meal comes accompanied by an assortment of fresh sashimi and a small bowl of udon noodles, while opting for the Toku set meal adds a hearty small hot pot. Between the dashi-rich miso soup and the carefully prepared side dishes, the meal proves thoroughly satisfying.
Set meals are available for dinner as well as lunch, making the dining room a reliable stop for an everyday evening meal. An à la carte menu featuring chicken teriyaki, tofu steak, and simmered pork with tofu makes it equally inviting to linger over a beer or an oolong high.
Inside, table seating sets a calm tone that welcomes solo diners without fuss. Because deep-fried items and other dishes are cooked to order, allowing some extra time for the meal is recommended. Payment is cash only.
